Embraer has officially introduced the Phenom 300EV, the newest generation of its flagship light business jet, bringing together enhanced performance, greater automation and new safety technologies designed to support modern business aviation operations.

New safety technologies take centre stage

The announcement builds on the long-standing success of the Phenom 300 family, which has remained one of the industry's most consistently delivered light jets. With the 300EV, Embraer focuses on further improving pilot confidence, operational capability and passenger safety while maintaining the aircraft's reputation for efficiency and versatility.

Garmin Emergency Autoland makes its debut

One of the most notable additions is Garmin Emergency Autoland, an automated system capable of guiding the aircraft to a suitable airport and completing a landing if the pilot becomes unable to continue the flight. The system manages navigation, communication and landing procedures while helping to minimise risk during an emergency. With this capability, the Phenom 300EV becomes the largest business jet currently equipped with Garmin's Emergency Autoland technology.

Autobrake and cockpit enhancements

Alongside this, the aircraft introduces an Autobrake system, which automatically manages braking performance during landing and rejected take-off scenarios. The feature is intended to reduce pilot workload while improving consistency across varying runway conditions.

The cockpit also receives several upgrades, including improvements to the Garmin Prodigy Touch flight deck and a newly integrated electronic control system that simplifies several aircraft functions. These enhancements are designed to improve situational awareness while reducing cockpit complexity for flight crews.

Performance improvements expand mission capability

Performance improvements further strengthen the aircraft's appeal for regional and transcontinental missions. The Phenom 300EV offers an increased range of approximately 2,055 nautical miles, enabling operators to connect more city pairs without additional fuel stops. Embraer has also increased the aircraft's available payload capacity, providing greater flexibility for passengers and baggage while maintaining mission efficiency.

Additional refinements include lightweight lithium-ion batteries and upgraded LED exterior lighting, contributing to lower maintenance requirements and improved day-to-day operations.

What the Phenom 300EV means for business aviation

The introduction of the Phenom 300EV reflects a broader trend across business aviation, where manufacturers continue to invest in technologies that enhance both safety and operational efficiency. Advanced automation systems such as Emergency Autoland are increasingly becoming an important layer of protection, complementing pilot expertise rather than replacing it.

For business aviation operators, corporate flight departments and private owners, these developments highlight the industry's continued emphasis on improving aircraft capability while delivering a safer and more seamless travel experience.

A step forward for the light business jet market

Embraer expects certification of the Phenom 300EV later in 2026, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin in 2028.

As business aviation continues to evolve, aircraft equipped with next-generation automation and safety technologies are expected to play an increasingly significant role in meeting the growing expectations of both operators and passengers worldwide.
