In May 2025, private jet activity remained steady across the globe with a total of 73,755 flights. While this reflects a 4% dip compared to the previous week, year-over-year activity is up by 3%, signalling a consistent recovery and growing appetite for private aviation worldwide.
U.S. Market Continues to Lead
The United States remains the most active region, with 51,274 private jet departures for the week. Although this is slightly lower (3%) than the previous week, it's 1% higher than the same week in 2024.
Notably, Texas saw a 6% increase year-over-year, underscoring ongoing strength in key domestic markets.
Europe Sees Momentum Building
European private aviation continued its positive trend with 9,500 departures, showing a 6% year-over-year increase and a 2% rise from the previous week.
Southern Europe is leading the way, with Italy experiencing a 15% week-over-week surge, and Switzerland also recording strong activity.
Emerging Markets On the Rise
Flight activity outside the U.S. and Europe is gaining traction.
- South America: up 20% year-over-year
- Africa: up 17%
- Middle East: up 13%
These numbers reflect expanding demand for point-to-point private jet travel in emerging markets—an encouraging signal for global charter growth.

The F1 Miami Grand Prix proved a major magnet for private flyers. The event drew 1,314 private jet arrivals, the highest since the race began in 2022.
